Breast Cancer Awareness Cards and Running the School

Clarissa and her pals are trying to raise money towards Breast Awareness and I have suggested to them that we can make cards to sell on campus.  Here are the 53 that we made in one and a half hours and I think that we made them really quick too.

Does he look like a teacher to you?

Painting the book shelf.

Using the shredder in the Admin Office.

Trying to work out which book and what music to play to the younger kids.

Personally - it has been a challenging week for me.  There are so many things to do and so little time to do it.  It's the week before the term year ends and school activities are at its high now. Today,  Sean and his whole class ran the school - meaning that they get to pretend that they are admin staff,  librarian and teachers.  The little munchkin was very pleased with himself and wanted to wear a tie to school but unfortunately,  the tie we had was too short for him.  The above are some photos of him doing just that.

Sketchabilities Sketch No 16 - Chums

It has been so hectic around here and I wanted to just relax and scrap yesterday.  Checked out the Sketchabilities site and found this lovely sketch here. I have always loved the Sketchabilities sketches and I had so much fun just putting this simple layout together.

Gloria has always been an excellent friend to Clarissa and I have been grateful for this little girl's friendship.  I hope that they will remain good friends for many more years to come.

Short break from blogging

Wow!  It's been more than a week since I have last blogged.  It has been a crazy busy few weeks.  Things are winding up at school and with less than 2 weeks till term ends - the weekends are all filled with loads of birthday and farewell parties.

Last weekend,  Sean played in his first overseas tournament down in neighbouring Singapore.  His team did not do badly coming in 3rd for the Plate Tournament.  The kids all broke down and cried when they lost the last match during the penalty kids.  I for one, look at it positively as the team has never played in muddy conditions like this and for a relatively new team - they did pretty well. Here are some photos to share.

Check out the field awash with mud.

Sean trying to listen to the coach and throw the ball to his team mate.

He was quite shocked when he tried to kick the ball hard but it just stopped in the puddle of water.

Pep talk by the coach.  I thought that they all look so cute together sitting behind the billboard.

Fell asleep in the car with his medal around his neck on the way back from the airport.

Happy 10th Birthday Seany

It's been 10 years since we had you.  It was a decade of ups and downs.  Ups when you were happy and healthy and downs when you were sick.  All that is behind us now as we enter to the next decade and we wish that you will be even more happier and healthier and grow more as a person.

Up up and away

On our recent trip to Penang,  Sean had a great time parasailing with his dad.  I wanted to capture the sequence of how  they flew up in a layout.  Hence I printed really small photos of them.  Its a simple layout but for me - it's the memories that counts.

Stay True

Of late,  she has been quite challenging.  I do not think negatively of it but I know its a part of the growing up process and I have accepted it and I hope she really does not test too much of my patience.  All I want her to know is that no matter what happens that she should always be true to herself and thats the most basic form of respect that she should have for herself.

I have scrapped the layout quite simply and I managed to open up 2 new packs of Prima Flowers from her and thanks so much for them.  I do love Prima flowers.  Its really nice to receive a RAK once in awhile and I do appreciate them.

Materials used:
Bazzill cs,  Websters Pages pp,  Websters Trims,  Cameo and Fabric Tag, Normal Grosgrain Ribbon, Prima Pearl Blings and Flowers,  Martha Stewart Butterfly and Corner Punches,  Pearl Blings and 3d foam squares.

Diving Treasures

I loved this photo of Clarissa snorkelling at her recent school expedition to Redang.  The clarity of the photo was amazing and well suited for the new Seaside collection of the Websters Pages.  I only had to cut the pp a little and piece the background paper together and voila - another simple layout.

Materials used:
Websters Pages Seaside Collection,  Websters Sticker Alphas, Trim and Fabric Tag,  Bazzill cs,  Momoyo Buttons,  Thread from local haberdashery,  Martha Stewart corner punch and 3d pop up foam.

Phew - after an exciting Anniversary month of 6 challenges,  its time to wind things down at the Scrap-It-Lah site.  This month,  our talented designer Jessy has come up with another cool multi-photo sketch.  Not 2 or 3 but 5 Gulp! photos sketch.  For challenge details,  please hop over to Scrap-It-Lah.

Clarissa was playing with her new underwater camera - (Thanks Jessy and Eric for helping  and driving us to get it) in the pool.  I loved the shots that she took and here is the layout that I made as per according to the sketch.
